Surface Mount

We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment, supported by highly trained and experienced production operatives and engineers.

This allows Walkbury the capability to place components from 01005′s through to the largest SMT packages with absolute precision, whilst retaining the flexibility and modularity that is paramount to fast set-up and change over times.

A high level of placement accuracy, solder joint integrity and quality is consistently achieved. We are optimally equipped to undertake PCB batches from 1 to 100,000, from as little as £0.01 per placement.

Laser Guided Assembly

Although the industry has seen an undeniable shift towards SMT assembly, we at Walkbury recognize that Conventional (through-hole) assembly is a core aspect of our business.

We understand that in an ever more competitive marketplace, the need for low cost, high quality production techniques in this area is an absolute necessity.

The laser guided, semi automatic assembly stations that Walkbury employ provide us with the capability to produce complex through-hole assemblies with a minimum operator learning curve.

Wave Soldering

Our Blundell CMS-400LF is the industry standard in wave soldering technology in terms of both quality and reliability. We also utilize chip-wave technology allowing us the flexibility of manufacturing same-side mixed technology assemblies.

Automatic Optical Inspection

Every assembly we make is subjected to our stringent AOI process.

It’s a critical process that verifies our production methods are operating optimally.  Alongside traditional inspection techniques we are able to offer absolute confidence that each assembly meets our stringent quality standards, whilst keeping costs at a minimum.
