Company History

Founded in 1978 as Walkbury Limited, the company undertook subcontract design, development and production work in the electronics field and for the first two years traded in Bedfordshire, moving to Peterborough in 1980.

We expanded steadily over the next twelve years to a point where it became clear that in order to improve our efficiency and to keep our prices competitive, larger premises would be needed. We subsequently relocated to our current location in the Metro Centre during 1992.

The increase in floor space enabled us to take on new clients, to cope with current clients expansion plans and to undertake work on larger assemblies. At the same time the company name was changed to Walkbury Electronics Ltd to more accurately reflect our activities.

In 1995 the adjoining premises of number 31 Metro Centre was purchased which doubled our floor space and production capacity.
